From the 1940's to the 1970's, "Thirty years of style", this is
the long period of time and title of the print exhibit, taken from
a private collection, open to the public Saturday, February 24th
and Sunday, February 25th at the Milan Fashion Library.
Tratto Pen entered the world scene with its style and technical
revolution midway through the last period covered by this exhibit,
but it was enough to express its pleasure in participating.
The partnership struck with the Fashion Library, and launched by
this exhibit, fully confirms the temper of a pen that only
rejuvenates with the passage of time. And just a few years later,
as proven by the Compasso d'Oro awarded in 1978, it was more than
matured.
Thus the title of the exhibit "Thirty years of style", referring
here to international fashion evolutions, is a tribute that can
also be tied to Tratto, which celebrated its thirty year
anniversary in 2005.
And how did these precious articles of clothing that changed the
world's skin come to life if not drawn on paper?

There are more than 100 prints collected at the Fashion
Library, including the 50 selected by Tratto Pen. And they're all
originals. |

The Fashion Library is a one-of-a-kind institution. It is the
first and only literary institution dedicated to clothing and
textiles and the explosive creativity that invents and designs new
trends. It is located in the old part of Milan and offers visitors
over 15,000 volumes ranging from books to magazines, annuals,
international publications, event and product catalogues to event,
show and advertising videos, market research reports and fashion
diaries.
It is not just the city of Milan Info Point, visited by sector
operators, journalists, stylists, students and communicators. In
specifically dedicated corners, it hosts more than 40 publishers,
organisations and associations who present original initiatives,
new publishing features and complete and precious collections that
wrote the history of the world's leading magazines. And Thirty
years of style refers to these.
The prints on display, that depict the innovative trends of the
past, are the original pages of period magazines and can be
purchased or rented for use at special events. These reveal the
fascination for past elegance and, seeing them today, they seem to
mark the history of fashion evolution. That composed blasé which
often distinguished the talent and creativity of the world's
designers and their art is inferred.
