Laura Bosisio

Laura Bosisio, Tratto line Product Manager. The chance to follow the life of a product from the birth of the idea to its final creation and distribution to consumers. The initial joy and the final worries. Anty Pansera, reveals the details through an interview with the key player.

Tratto. From the idea to the consumer


Anty Pansera: "Laura Bosisio, who follows all matters and projects tied to Tratto products in F.I.L.A., tells us what it means to follow and manage the history of this large family".

Laura Bosisio, Product Manager, F.I.L.A.: "It is interesting work that lets me start from product production, from the creative idea behind its birth, taking it to sales and, lastly, to the consumer. I also follow the product from the presentation standpoint, packaging, analysing sales and customer satisfaction".

Anty Pansera: "The Tratto consumer is someone you meet every day. What is he asking for now?".

Laura Bosisio: "He is surely a demanding consumer. The pen market is saturated, thus our consumer looks for excellent writing quality because a pen, in addition to writing, must write well. Moreover, consumers demand the aesthetic aspect, a special look, to buy it with greater emotional impact".

Anty Pansera: "Last year Tratto Pen celebrated its thirtieth anniversary and was re-launched. What were the results?!.

Laura Bosisio: "The re-launch was successful. It once again demonstrated that Tratto Pen is loved by consumers, that it has high emotional value, that is has a bond with people. Moreover, events like Subway literature 2005 and our participation at the Mantua Festival brought us closer to creativity. We are holding a quality, aesthetic product but, above all, one loved by consumers".

A new product

Anty Pansera: "In the twenty first century, the era of globalisation, computers, technology, a new product is born: Cyberpen. Why was this needed?".

Laura Bosisio: "Cyberty means "cybernetic", mental speed. We like being close to kids, close to a fast-paced world that has continuous and changing needs, that wants something fashion but of excellent quality. Thus Cyber Pen was born, a variation to the Tratto Pen for a younger target group. A variation we obtained by changing the cap mould, giving it a better, more aggressive grip, but also using translucent, fluorescent colours made of materials that cover the product body with silver colours. We wanted a more hi-tech pen, with the same quality but more attractive look, better suited for kids. The range was also expanded for this product: it started with the Cyber Pen as the sister of the Tratto Pen, in four traditional colours, and then the Cyber Color was added, colouring products available in twenty and more colours. A new line, a sort of Tratto Junior dedicated to younger kids".
